Assalamualaikum Warahmatullahi wabarakatu,
This Blog is created to update the progress of my Campaign for Muslim In Oamaru.
I have started my Fundraiser campaign since November 2016. This started some week after Muslim Association of Oamaru has been establish on 24th October 2016 when i have been assign for Treasurer and Fundraiser Coordinator. To raise money for our Islamic Centre.
Our Goal was 1st to rent a proper place to be Muslim Association of Oamaru Islamic Centre. And we have achieved this goal on 27th January 2017 as we have manage to raise more than NZD 10.000,- that enough for 1 year operation.
Our next goal is to try to raise money to Buy our own property for the 1st Masjid in Oamaru within this One year.
Before we rent this place at 2 Trent Street Oamaru 9400, Muslim in Oamaru been moving for house to house for their Religious activities until two year ago one of the Muslim family Let us use their garage for our Religious activities.
And as we keep growing in number and Oamaru is transit place for people traveling in South Island we started to think that we need a bigger and proper place to be able to accommodate a Muslim that live in Oamaru as well as a Muslim Traveler from all over the world that visit Oamaru.
Now that we have a proper place to pray the work is not yet done as we still have our 2nd Goal.
So we still contentiously seeking for donation and volunteer to achieve it.
This is a very big opportunity for Muslim brother and sister to make perpetual charity by giving donation.
So Let us compete in good deeds فَاسْتَبِقُواْ الْخَيْرَاتِ Al-Baqaroh:148
